The proper conduct of the seeker is to always recognize the grace of their Lord, to praise and give thanks to Him in all circumstances, and to continuously maintain a good opinion of Him.
They should renew this good opinion in every new situation, whether in moments of majesty or beauty—that is, in times of hardship as well as ease.
The seeker should entrust all matters, great and small, to Allah with complete reliance, fully aware of their own inability to bring benefit or avert harm. They should also devote themselves entirely to their Shaykh, who represents Shaykh al-Tijani in the present moment.
