Then comes the realization of one’s inability to fulfill the rights of the Divine Presence in piety—both outwardly and inwardly—in a manner that pleases Him, not according to one’s own preferences.
This is the key to all the servant’s petitions: knowledge, spirituality, glad tidings, Paradise, love for Allah, His generosity, salvation, protection from enemies, provision, ease, and a praiseworthy end—along with many other desires.
And fear Allah! And Allah teaches you. Allah knows everything. (2:282)
We save those who were God-fearing. (19:72)
And the (good) end belongs to the God-fearing. (7:128)
But if you are patient and God-fearing, their deceit will not harm you. (3:120)
And whoever fears Allah, He will make a way for him and provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever places his trust in Allah, He will be sufficient for him. Surely, Allah will accomplish His purpose. (64:2-3)
